Rockhouse releases first video in Series One
The Cult’s 1989 classic Fire Woman
Interesting facts about this song:
The song came from their fourth studio album, Sonic Temple. This album proved to be the “one” that put them truly into the mainstream. MTV was still going strong, and this track, the first single from the album, was in regular rotation.
Fire Woman peaked at No. 2 on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and No. 46 on the Billboard Hot 100. It reached No. 1 in several other countries.
Why did Rockhouse choose it?
We all agreed it added a style and flavor that fit in well. It isn’t a metal song, more of a good, hard driving, hard rock song that has proven timeless. This one also gave our singer Dave a chance to push his voice in a slighly darker, grittier direction.
We had great fun trying to reproduce the drive and energy from the record. Check it out now!
